The Project
A historic icon of coastal California hospitality, Hotel del Coronado blends Victorian charm with modern luxury, offering guests an unforgettable beachfront experience. When the resort’s restaurant underwent a refresh, PlantCrafter Designers was called in to infuse the space with natural beauty that required no maintenance, while still aligning with the hotel's world-renowned ambiance and service standard. Our design team created a tailored preserved plant installation that complemented the airy, ocean-facing dining experience, bringing a sense of effortless coastal greenery indoors.
Solution
We installed a custom selection of UV-rated, preserved plant arrangements throughout the restaurant space, designed to enhance the guest experience while maintaining full visibility of the ocean view. Inspired by the surrounding landscape, we chose foliage that echoed the textures and tones of native coastal plants, while preserving the crisp elegance of the resort’s interior design.
The result is a lush yet controlled composition that feels fresh year-round, with none of the upkeep or seasonal replacement required by live plants. It creates a soothing, elevated dining atmosphere where nature quietly enhances every meal.
